SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibility of the Shop Assistant position is to support the Division in the daily activities needed to sustain the location. The Shop Assistant personnel will support the Fabricators/Assembly Techs by cutting down materials, operating power tools to complete requested tasks. This position also ensures the accuracy and promptness of all incoming and outgoing shipments of parts and orders for staff and customers of Engineered Products Group. This position is crucial to maintaining the appearance, function, and efficiency of the branch.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Maintain the appearance of the EPG facility making sure all workstations are tidy. May include snow removal, weed removal, and garbage pick-up.
  • Assist shipping/receiving as necessary to ensure timely receipts of products, accurate shipping to internal/external customers, and inventory accuracy.
  • Organize and maintain the designated pallet area.
  • Support Fabricators/Assembly Techs with tasks such as cutting material, operating band saw & other basic power tools.
  • Make local part runs as necessary to assist the Sales and Service Departments.
  • Other duties assigned by Management.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong Computer Skills; Customer Service Orientated; Good Communication Skills (written & verbal); Clean Driving Record; Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis; Ability to Efficiently Operate a Forklift; Must be a Team Player.
